Lidia volunteered for the first time with AccessOC for St. Jude Surgery Day on April 29, 2017. She volunteered from 5 a.m. until 1 p.m. and helped translate instructions to the patients. She heard of AccessOC through HOPE Builders, an ongoing and training program in Orange County. Lidia stated that volunteering for AccessOC's Surgery Day at St. Jude Medical Center "makes [her] want to shoot for a higher position in the medical field. The staff at St. Jude Medical Center are great, they are not just nurses and doctors, they are family." AccessOC is grateful to have volunteers like Lidia help give back to the community.
